The Seller Says
“I love that Charlotte is a small city with a big city feel. There are great sporting events, great restaurants, the arts, and plenty of activities for kids. We have loved that there is a youth rowing team, Charlotte Youth Rowing that provided a great experience for our two youngest children.
Our neighborhood is a great place for families. The Park Crossing Recreation Club provides a great pool, tennis and picnic area with and Women’s club. There are many kids in a variety of age ranges.
There are so many restaurants to choose from: Umai for sushi, Roosters or Bonterra for special celebrations, Don Pedro for Mexican food, and Portifino’s for Italian. My favorite places to shop are Harris Teeter, Publix, Earth Fare, Carolina Place, and South Park malls. One of my favorite weekly deliveries is from Absolute Organics. Every Thursday my box shows up with delicious, locally grown produce and never disappoints.
When we bought our home we were drawn to the large back yard and the fact that we had a bedroom for each of our kids, plus office space. We have enjoyed entertaining larger groups of people without anyone feeling crowded. I also loved the large kitchen.
The South Charlotte area is wonder because it is in close proximity to everything without being uptown. We love to go hiking around the area. There are trails at Crowder’s Mou
ntain and Kings Mountain as well as the Greenway. We also enjoy bowling at 10 Park Lanes. We enjoy the variety of activities, from outdoor activities, movie theaters and museums, Taste of Charlotte, and Southern Christmas Show and the antiques shows. I love quilting and knitting; there are a variety of shops around the area. There is a special fabric store in nearby Gastonia called Mary Jo’s Cloth Store . My husband collects sports memorabilia, AAA Collectibles, Inc. is a nationally known shop in nearby Matthews run by a husband and wife team. I think very few people walk into the store and leave without becoming friends with Bob and Linda.
We have enjoyed our ten years in this home. We have done a lot of living here. We will miss this home, but our looking forward to our next adventure.”
