The things I love about Charlotte are you can live in the suburbs but get the big city feel. Charlotte offers weather of all 4 seasons but spring is my favorite when the city is in full bloom. We also have 15 Greenways that offer beautiful walking trails and a great place to bike. Crowders Mountain is also close by if you’re up for a serious hike. Charlotte also offers several outlet malls, great nightlife yet still very family friendly.
Our neighborhood is great for any commute as it is just miles away from downtown and the heart of Ballantyne. 485 is just around the corner from the condo. We are close to restaurants, bars, outdoor concerts in the summer,` and the McAlpine Greenway. Carolina Place Mall is down the street and offers great shopping for any need.
My favorite restaurant to eat at is Cabos Cantina which is in walking distance to the house. Also close by is the Rusty Onion which has great pizza and wings. Our favorite breakfast place, Park 51 Café, is less than a mile from the house. I love their omelets!
There are a lot of grocery stores nearby. Food Lion, BI-LO and Harris Teeter are all within 1-mile or 2. Ballantyne offers a brand new Publix and a great Earth Fare. Fresh Market, Pet Supplies Plus, and a brand-new Amelie’s Bakery are also in walking distance.
When I first bought my home I was most attracted to the fact that the HOA handles the structural upkeep of the building and the lawn maintenance. I also love the location and how close it is to Ballantyne and the location is within walking distance to almost everything that I need. I also love that the entrance is much like an English flat and it added charm and character.
The Ballantyne area offers a lot of shopping, great restaurants and family friendly activities. I love how close everything is to me, most in walking distance. The community is across the street from the greenway and perfect for a Saturday jog. In the summer, Ballantyne holds free concerts appropriate for all ages.
Our Duke Power bill decreased dramatically when we got the new windows in the fall of 2012. The HOA pays our water bill, so that’s one last bill to worry about.
